Lukullus revives original karpatka to honor Ćwierczakiewiczowa

Warsaw's Lukullus pastry shop, marking the 200th anniversary of Lucyna Ćwierczakiewiczowej's birth, has added desserts based on her recipes to its menu. The returning karpatka is made without cheap margarines and powdered puddings, as the original recipe demands. It is a tribute to the cook who shaped Polish 19th-century cuisine.
