150 minutes of weekly exercise not enough — study says 9–10 hours better protects the heart

A study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that the widely recommended 150 minutes of moderate or vigorous physical activity per week offers only limited protection against heart attack and stroke. The research suggests that around 9–10 hours of exercise per week delivers significantly greater cardiovascular benefits. The findings indicate that current official guidelines may be too conservative.
