Pro-Orbán weekly Mandiner cuts over half its staff and faces imminent closure
Mandiner, a Hungarian weekly associated with former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's political camp, has laid off more than half of its staff and is on the verge of shutting down. In recent months the paper published interviews with Polish President Karol Nawrocki and PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński. A journalist from the outlet noted that the paper will continue operating only until it is potentially taken over by Prime Minister Peter Magyar.
