GIS warns: STEC bacteria found in cheeses made from raw cow milk

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate detected Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) in two types of cheese made from raw cow milk. GIS issued a public warning and recommends not consuming the affected products. STEC bacteria can cause severe food poisoning and even kidney failure.
