Japan: over 107,000 centenarians—all-time record broken

Japan's Ministry of Health reported that the number of centenarians in the country has exceeded 100,000 for the first time—totaling over 107,000 people. For comparison, there were only 153 in 1963. Among Japan's oldest citizens are people still active professionally and artistically—farming land and teaching dance.
