Japan: over 107,000 centenarians, a new record

Japan's Health Ministry reported that the number of people aged at least 100 exceeded 107,000 for the first time. This is a dramatic increase compared with 1963, when there were only 153 centenarians. Among them are people still active in employment — farming or teaching dance.
