Turkish lokum conquers Polish market stalls — how does it differ from regular gummies?
Lokum, one of Turkey's most iconic sweets, is increasingly found at Polish fairs and markets. The colourful cubes, made from starch and sugar and flavoured with rose, mint or pistachios, have long been a popular souvenir from Turkey. Unlike gummies or jellies, lokum has a denser, less elastic texture and a more pronounced flavour.
