85% of personal care products contain unlabeled toxic chemicals — even "eco" ones
A peer-reviewed study testing more than 110 personal care products — from shampoos to baby lotions — found unlabeled toxic chemicals in about 85% of them. Many contained carcinogens or health hazards, and products averaged more than three times as many chemicals as listed on labels. Even 26% of items labeled "eco", "green" or "natural" contained at least one dangerous compound, including PFAS.
