Poor sleep can cut working life after 50 by nine months, study finds
A new study found that severely disrupted or excessively long sleep after age 50 can reduce working life by up to nine months. The findings highlight the importance of sleep health in middle age, especially for those with lower socioeconomic status. Women with no sleep disturbances were found to have a longer working life between 50 and 68 than their male counterparts.
