Ultrasound sleep patch cuts time to REM sleep by 43 minutes without drugs

Researchers have developed a wearable ultrasound patch that shortens the time to REM sleep by 43 minutes and extends it by about 16 minutes. A study of 28 participants also found signs of improved stress regulation and changes in brain circuits linked to emotion processing. The device requires no medication or surgical procedure.
