Testosterone supplements are trending — but they can permanently shut down male fertility

Testosterone is trending in gyms, on social media and in politics — US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has proposed screening troops for low levels. However, taking testosterone supplements suppresses the body's own hormone production, which can seriously impair male fertility. Experts say men are rarely warned about this trade-off before they start supplementing.
