AHA: Up to Five Coffees a Day May Protect the Heart — But Not All Types
The American Heart Association (AHA) has published a new scientific statement in the journal Circulation finding that up to five cups of coffee a day is safe for most adults. Regular consumption may be linked to a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and heart failure. However, the type of coffee matters — certain preparations may have the opposite effect and harm cardiovascular health.
