Cappadocia: fairy chimneys, underground cities and balloon flights
Cappadocia in central Turkey is known for its fairy chimneys — tall rock formations created by volcanic erosion over millions of years. Among the most visited sites are Pasabag Monks' Valley, Devrent Valley with its camel-shaped rock, and the rock fortress in Ortahisar. The region also contains extensive underground settlements carved into soft stone by its ancient inhabitants.
