Polish rosół seeks UNESCO recognition: official bid submitted
Poland has officially launched efforts to have the tradition of Polish rosół inscribed on the national list of intangible cultural heritage and eventually the UNESCO Representative List. Dr Magdalena Tomaszewska-Bolałek explains the inscription is not merely symbolic but a catalyst for promoting Polish food culture worldwide. The UNESCO list already includes Italian cuisine, Turkish coffee, and grape leaves. The procedure requires specific legal and methodological steps and will take at least several years.
