Chełm southern bypass for 96 million zloty: contract signed, construction from 2027
On 30 October, a contract was signed to fund construction of the southern bypass around Chełm — 96.1 million zloty from the Government Road Development Fund covers 70 percent of the investment cost. The route will be approximately 7.5 km and include three engineering structures, including a viaduct over a railway line, as well as pedestrian and bicycle paths. Construction is to begin in 2027; the city must cover the remaining 30 percent of costs from its own funds.
