Cigarettes smuggled by weather balloons: 21,000 packs seized

On October 15–16, the Border Guard and police seized a total of 21,000 packs of cigarettes lacking Polish tax stamps, smuggled using weather balloons. The packs, wrapped in black stretch film, were found in Lubartów and Lubelski counties; balloons were still attached to some discoveries. The goods from the first batch were valued at over 247,000 zł.
