Meta paid nearly $10 bln settlement but revenue rose 26%

Meta's settlement with state attorneys general across the US cost the company nearly $10 billion in additional third-quarter expenses, bringing net profit to $9.86 billion — below Wall Street expectations. Quarterly revenue, however, reached $64.6 billion, up 26% year over year. Financial markets responded calmly to the results.
