Poultry imports from Mercosur to Poland drop 80% after EU deal

During the first four months of provisional application of the EU–Mercosur trade agreement (May–August 2026), poultry meat imports from Mercosur countries to Poland fell 80% — from 304 to 62 tons, with value declining 83%, from 5.76 million zloty to 1 million zloty. Beef import value fell from 6.1 million zloty to 2.2 million zloty. Corn imports totaled 27.2 thousand tons versus 34 thousand tons a year earlier, with value dropping from 45.5 million zloty to 35.2 million zloty.
