One in five cars in Europe could be Chinese, UBS warns
Investment bank UBS estimates Chinese brands could account for around 20% of annual new car sales in Europe at the current registration growth rate. The problem extends beyond the numbers — large quantities of Chinese vehicles are waiting in European ports before reaching dealerships. The rising share of Chinese manufacturers is becoming an increasingly serious challenge for the European automotive industry.
