EU bans extra fees for adjacent seats, requires carry-on baggage in ticket price

The European Parliament adopted a reform of air passenger rights. New rules prohibit airlines from charging additional fees for seats next to parents and children, and require carry-on baggage to be included in the ticket price. Changes also include new rules for informing passengers about compensation they are entitled to.
