Rare fungus in Poland: violet gomphus found in Wigry National Park

Staff at Wigry National Park announced the discovery of violet gomphus — one of Poland's rarest fungi, critically endangered. This species grows in the country at only three locations. The fungus looks so unusual that it is hard to believe it is a native specimen.
