Driver 71 km/h over limit flees police, crashes into fence in Kalisz county

A 29-year-old from Kalisz county was driving 71 km/h too fast in a built-up area; when a police officer signaled him to stop, he fled. The Volkswagen hit a fence several kilometers away. The driver said he feared the speeding penalty. Police suspended his license for three months; fleeing police control carries a sentence of up to 5 years in prison.
