Epigenetic editing eliminates hepatitis B virus

Scientists developed an "epigenetic editing" technique that uses chemical markers to silence hepatitis B virus DNA hidden in the host's genome. The method can neutralize the virus without permanently modifying the DNA sequence. Results were published in Nature.
