Arctic air over Europe: down to -12°C in Alps, colder in Poland

In the coming days, arctic air will flow into Europe, bringing the season's first distinct cold wave. In the Alps region, temperatures could fall locally to -12°C, with negative values appearing not only at ground level. Poland also faces sharp temperature drops, though forecasts are much milder than in the Alps.
