Woman with schizophrenia denied MS treatment at neurology institute

A woman with schizophrenia, known as Małgosia, received a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis only after she stopped walking. The Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology refused to give her MS medication and rehabilitation. The facility, which has "neurology" in its name and runs an MS clinic in its building, declined to treat the patient because of her coexisting mental illness.
