Parliament attacks Meta over profiting from fake ads, threatens restrictions

At a meeting of the parliamentary Digitization Commission, lawmakers accused Meta, Facebook's owner, of cynically profiting from online deception through fraudulent ads. The government threatened the tech giant with restrictions on its operations in Poland. Lawmakers also criticized President Karol Nawrocki for vetoing legislation implementing the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA).
