CBZC dismantles gang trafficking counterfeit drugs worth 8 million zloty
The Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime, working with the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Poznań, has dismantled an organized criminal group that since 2022 has manufactured and sold counterfeit pharmaceuticals. The product range included hormone medications, potency and weight-loss drugs, and anabolic steroids — sold via the internet, social media and messaging apps. The black-market value of goods is estimated at over 8 million zloty, and the gang completed over 3,000 shipments. In September, officers detained four more people and conducted seven searches in the Wielkopolskie region.
