Modified bone marrow cells may rebuild bone in osteoporosis
Results from a small clinical trial published in Nature suggest that bone marrow cells engineered to reach bone tissue have regenerative potential for treating osteoporosis, a disease affecting millions worldwide that weakens bone structure.
