Poles take over Bari: capital of Apulia like a suburb of Warsaw
Bari, capital of Italy's Apulia region, is experiencing a tourism boom, with Poles forming the largest group of visitors. A few years ago the city emptied during long weekends — today Polish tourist bookings are so numerous that residents joke about "Warsaw suburbs." The city is gaining popularity thanks to direct flight connections and relatively low prices.
