Lemon scutiger looks like a potato but can cause serious poisoning
The lemon scutiger, once called "poor man's truffle" due to its intense smell, grows in forests and resembles a small, hard ball. Though historically its young fruitbodies were dried and added to dishes as seasoning, consuming this fungus risks serious poisoning. The mushroom is not edible and should be avoided when foraging.
