Pole arrested in Padua for "doctor scam" defrauding 85-year-old

A 20-year-old Polish man was detained at a railway station in Padua, Italy. He is suspected of involvement in a scam targeting an 85-year-old resident of Rovigo. The woman believed her son was fighting for his life and urgently needed money for treatment, then handed jewelry worth over 15,000 euros (approximately 64,000 PLN) to the scammers.
