Metal concert increased pain tolerance, Wacken festival study shows

Researchers Lydia Schneider and Thomas H. Fritz from the Max Planck Institute studied the effect of intense musical experience on pain perception during the Wacken Open Air festival. Results indicate that attending a metal concert raised participants' pain threshold. The study was conducted directly with festival attendees.
