Italians eat what Poles pull as weeds — bladder campion in the kitchen
Bladder campion, a common weed on Polish meadows and garden edges, is a prized culinary ingredient in Italy. Known there as strigoli or sculpit, it is used in salads, stuffings and pasta dishes. The plant is easily recognised by its distinctive inflated calyxes.
