Chinese scientists develop self-contracting muscle implant that mimics exercise

Chinese scientists have developed experimental muscle tissue implants that, once inserted under the skin, contract on their own. The research investigates whether some of the benefits of physical exercise can be achieved without working out. The technology is still at an experimental stage and is not yet available for human use.
