Procter & Gamble acquires supplements brand Thorne for $3.8 billion

Procter & Gamble will acquire supplements brand Thorne in a $3.8 billion deal, P&G CEO Shailesh Jejurikar announced on CNBC's "Squawk on the Street". The acquisition is intended to grow P&G's health and wellness business. Thorne is well known for its supplements targeting athletes and health-conscious consumers.
