Supreme Court: Out-of-Court Settlement Doesn't Entitle Full Court Fee Refund

Poland's Supreme Court has ruled that a full refund of the court filing fee applies only to settlements reached before a court or a mediator. An out-of-court settlement concluded directly between the parties without court or mediator involvement does not entitle either party to a full refund under the Civil Court Costs Act.
