Garlic, turmeric and black seed may lower bad cholesterol — but won't replace medication
Garlic, artichoke, black seed (nigella), fenugreek, psyllium and turmeric contain compounds that may support lipid metabolism and help reduce bad cholesterol levels. Experts stress these herbs should only complement a proper diet, regular exercise and prescribed medication — not replace them. At least one of the ingredients, garlic, is found in most home kitchens.
