Former youth pastor charged with killing wife whose 2006 National Park fall was ruled an accident
A former youth pastor has been accused of murdering his wife, Bernadette Vander Meer, who fell to her death in 2006 while hiking Angels Landing trail at Zion National Park in Utah. Her death was treated as a hiking accident for nearly two decades. Investigators have since concluded the fall was not accidental and brought charges against her husband of 20 years.
