Alan Greenspan and Ayn Rand Were Close Friends and Intellectual Allies
Former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan shared one of the most intellectually significant relationships of his life with novelist and libertarian thinker Ayn Rand. Their close friendship is said to have deeply influenced Greenspan's economic and philosophical worldview. Rand, best known for novels such as Atlas Shrugged, was among the most prominent libertarian voices of the 20th century.
