Tried to recover Steam account, lost 50,000 zloty: three suspects detained

A 23-year-old from Gostyń county received a message on 21 September about an alleged Steam account lockdown. Following the scammers' instructions, he scanned a QR code, provided personal and bank details — and lost nearly 50,000 zloty. Police determined that part of the funds were withdrawn at an ATM in Poznań; three suspects were detained.
