Sanok Castle: 500-year-old accounts reveal true building history
Grzegorz Kubal's book "Renaissance Castle in Sanok. The True Story" reveals that King Zygmunt I Stary initiated construction, overseen not by Mikołaj Wolski but by Mikołaj Dobrocieski. Work was directed by master mason Szymon — one of the finest craftsmen in the Crown, though almost unknown. The findings are based on accounts from the Crown Treasury Archive untouched for two centuries.
