Bloomberg: Iran studies Qatar peace plan, US and Tehran closer to breakthrough
According to a diplomat cited by Bloomberg, Iran is showing willingness to discuss nuclear issues previously not addressed in talks and is analyzing proposals presented by Qatar as mediator. Trump spoke by phone with the emir of Qatar about possible solutions to the conflict. Negotiations have been deadlocked since the collapse of a temporary agreement in June, and Iran had demanded the US lift its naval blockade of its ports, among other things.
