Jay Rockefeller, U.S. Senator and health care advocate, dies at 89

John D. "Jay" Rockefeller IV, the former West Virginia senator and descendant of one of the wealthiest families in U.S. history, died Friday at age 89 at his home in Washington. He was long known as an advocate for expanding access to health care in the United States.
