Long queues are forming outside mints across Nepal as Nepalis buy gold and silver coins ahead of Tihar, the Nepali equivalent of India's Diwali. Purchasing coins is believed to bring families good fortune, wealth and prosperity. Tihar is one of the country's most important holidays.
