Russia and Iran plan gas pipeline to ease shortages
During a meeting between Iranian Security Council secretary Mohsen Rezaei and Vladimir Putin, construction of gas pipelines from Russia to Iran was discussed to address Iranian gas shortages and enable resale of Russian fuel to neighboring countries. The missing section of the North-South International Transport Corridor connecting Petersburg to India was also discussed. Rezaei said Iran ties opening the Strait of Hormuz and negotiating to fulfillment of seven Iranian conditions by the U.S.
