NATO plans strikes deep into Russia: bases, airports, defense industry
According to The Wall Street Journal on November 3, NATO is considering a strategy involving attacks on targets deep within Russian territory—150 kilometers to several thousand kilometers away—should Russian offensive operations be halted. Targets would include military bases, airports, weapons factories, and strategic infrastructure, using Tomahawk, ATACMS, Storm Shadow, and Taurus missiles as well as attack drones. The plans do not rule out nuclear weapons solely as a first step. Any strikes would require separate approval from European leaders.
