31-year-old from Lipno county loses 600,000 zlotys to scammers

The fraud began on October 14 when a man received a call from someone posing as a bank employee, claiming someone had taken out a loan in his name. Another caller impersonating a police officer corroborated the story. The scammers persuaded the 31-year-old to withdraw his savings, deposit them in a bitcoin ATM, and take out additional loans. In total, the man lost 600,000 zlotys.
