Book author on Zakopane: Krupówki is already lost
Beata Sabała-Zielińska, author of "Góralu, czy ci nie żal? Opowieść o zatraceniu", says plainly: Zakopane has been overtaken by commercialism, garish advertising and architectural chaos. She acknowledges that Podhale residents made many mistakes, but stresses that outsiders are also responsible for the region's degradation. In a conversation with Joanna Górska on "Onet Rano" she appealed to tourists: "Just look in the mirror". The book is framed as an attempt to reckon with the commercialization of the Tatras and its surroundings.
