FAA orders inspections of Boeing 787s after fuel tank seal defects found

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has ordered additional inspections of selected Boeing 787 Dreamliners following detection of possible irregularities in fuel tank seals. The defect may increase the risk of sparking during lightning strikes, potentially leading to an explosion. The directive covers at least 60 aircraft in use in the United States.
