Gene therapy nearly eliminates seizures in three patients

In a clinical trial, three patients received a combination of virus-carrying genes and medication injected into the brain. Results published in Nature showed near-complete cessation of seizures. This experimental gene therapy is considered a breakthrough in epilepsy treatment.
